About
This moving exhibition, created by students of the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium in cooperation with the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor, tells the life story of Hélène Fauriat (1918–1999). Fauriat was a courageous member of the French Resistance who was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 for her anti-fascist activities. After being deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, she was sent to the Henschel-Werke subcamp in Schönefeld. The exhibition honors her memory and provides a poignant insight into the individual fates of those affected by the Nazi regime. It is an educational and deeply emotional experience.
