Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe

For the 2025/26 season, artist Neda Saeedi was selected to create a site-specific work for the historic Klosterruine. Her sound installation explores the profound question of how we commemorate history in specific locations. The work delves into issues of memory and exclusion, asking who is remembered and whose history is ignored. It challenges visitors to consider how we handle violent histories and absent monuments, ultimately asking if we can engage with the past to shape a better future.
