About
This exhibition at the Nazi Forced Labor Documentation Center tells the moving life story of Hélène Fauriat (1918–1999). As a member of the French Résistance, she was arrested by the Gestapo in 1944 and deported to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Later, she was transferred to the Henschel-Werke labor camp in Schönefeld to perform forced labor. The project was created by students of the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium in cooperation with the Documentation Center. It provides a crucial historical perspective on individual resistance and the harsh realities of the Nazi era. This educational display is a poignant reminder of the importance of historical memory.
