About

The Spandau Moritzkirche was likely the oldest church in the area that is now Berlin. A wooden church with a cemetery existed as early as 1180, which was replaced by a stone building in the 13th century and later renovated. This exhibition at the Gotisches Haus traces the history of this lost structure, including its impact on the local community. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Torsten Dressler and museum director Dr. Urte Evert, offering a deep dive into archaeological findings and historical narratives.
